Het Europees Forum van musea heeft de lijst bekend gemaakt van 49 kandidaat winnaars voor de titel Museum of the year 2016. Ook het Kortrijkse Texture is genomineerd. Vorig jaar zaten al het West-Vlaamse Museum aan de IJzer uit Diksmuide in de shortlist.
